Wakes at the Banking Hall

Wake Venue

As a grade II listed building, The Banking Hall is a memorable space with a long-lasting heritage. Our team have renovated the former bank to create an elegant venue that celebrates tradition and history. We have included some contemporary features, including wheelchair access and air conditioning. Hosts are welcome to select a furniture arrangement that best suits their guests’ needs for the wake. We can seat up to 80 people for meals. For less formal funeral gatherings, we can welcome up to 120 guests.

The Banking Hall Drinks

The Banking Hall features a private bar, fully stocked and staffed throughout your event. Our mixologists can create a signature drink to help your guests celebrate their memories with your loved ones. You can choose from a wide range of beverage choices. We can stock up on a drink of your choice too.

Wake Office

The Bank Manager’s Office is an additional space with a capacity for 12 seated guests. This is a great option for smaller wakes following a funeral. Hosts at The Banking Hall have previously used this room as a private retreat for close family and friends.

Wakes Accommodation

On-site accommodation is available for guests travelling from afar. As part of The Angel, guests of The Banking Hall can access twenty beautiful guest rooms. The Angel now offers self-catering cottages for added privacy, including secluded courtyards and wood-burning hot tubs.

Wake Food

Our chefs can create a custom menu for the wake, catering to your guests’ preferences and dietary requirements. We offer formal seated meals with full table service and buffet options. Our kitchen team uses the very best of local ingredients, including produce from our own farm.

The Banking Hall Location

The Banking Hall is located in the heart of Pershore, offering a convenient and accessible setting for memorial gatherings. The venue is close to the M5 motorway and features free parking for guests travelling by car. Pershore Train Station and Worcestershire Parkway are close by and the venue is across the road from Broad Street bus stop on the Evesham-Worcester route. The venue is near several funeral directors, including E Hill and Son and Jackson Family Funeral Directors, and the Vale Crematorium.

The Banking Hall Outdoors

Our outdoor spaces provide a peaceful environment for reflection. The courtyard garden, equipped with its own bar and facilities, is an excellent option for wakes during the summer months. The large umbrellas provide protection in case of rain. Beyond the courtyard is the riverside garden, with stunning views of the River Avon and the fields beyond. Our private moorings can provide a personal touch for those with a nautical connection.

The Banking Hall Tech

The Banking Hall is equipped with modern technology to enhance our events. An impressive 85” television screen with laptop connections is available to display visual tributes. We can offer a lapel microphone for any speeches. Free WiFi is provided so all guests can stay connected to the internet and share their cherished memories. Plus, our sound system covers the full venue to provide a musical ambience throughout.
